Shabbat Together - November 2, 2018

Synagogue Emanu-El is more than a building. We are a community bound together through a commitment to Judaism and each other. We would like to celebrate the warmth of our synagogue and community. We are calling this celebration, “Shabbat Together”

Many of our congregants have already volunteered to open up their homes, inviting you to share a Shabbat dinner with them. All you have to do is make a reservation by October 26th and tell us how many will be in your party. If you require a Kosher home, or have dietary needs. On October 29th and 30th you will receive a call letting you know whose home you will be welcoming in Shabbat.

If your family or group of friends already have a regular Shabbat dinner and you would like to invite others, we would love to have you be part of Shabbat Together. Just let us know how many seats you have available and we will extend your gracious invitation of Shabbat hospitality to those who have RSVP’d asking for a reservation.

The guidelines to host a Shabbat Together are few. You decide your own menu, your own style, topics of discussions. Most importantly, please have fun. We ask that all dinners be kosher or ko-sher style. Thanks to a very generous donation from a board member, the synagogue will provide a small stipend to help offset the cost of your hospitality.

We only ask one thing from each host. Please take a picture of your group and email it to the office at We will put all photos in the December Scroll.

To be a host or to be a guest please contact Gary Weinstein at 469-767-3313 or Suzanne Lynch at 843-224-0322 or email at
