From the Men's Club President - Charles Richards

We are starting off the month of March with Men’s Club Shabbat on Saturday, March 3rd. We will be honoring our Man of the Year during the service. Who is it? Join us and meet our Man of the Year. Our 19th annual Regional Retreat was held at Camp Ramah Darom and Rabbi Rosenbaum was our Scholar in Residence this year. The theme of the retreat was Stepping out of Jewish Comfort Zone. Thank you, Rabbi, for being there with us this year. Our next Spirit Night is Tuesday, March 13th, at 7:00PM at TBonz in West Ashley. The theme for discussion will be a sharing of ideas on making the Passover Seder enjoyable in our homes. Come prepared to share things you do that make it enjoyable for your family. Maybe something you do will be added to our Seder. Save the date: Wednesday, May 9th, will be our annual Stag Night. This is our annual fundraiser.

One Meal a Day

That is what many of our Jewish Brothers are experiencing in the Abayudayan region of Uganda due to the current famine. Our Men’s Club is a partner with the Seaboard Region of Jewish Men’s Club in helping them. The Abayudayan women hand-knit Kippot that many Men's Clubs are selling for $18 each and 100% of the money goes to support our Jewish Brothers and Sisters in Uganda. The money helps with food, education, Hadassah School and maintaining their Jewish Life. Please support our Tikum Olam project to secure their future. Call Charles Richards at 843-452-4429 or the Synagogue office 843-571-3264 to place your order.
Thank you for your support.
