From the New Men's Club President - Harold Grater, July 2018

Hi, I’d like to take this opportunity to introduce myself: I’m Harold Grater, the new Men’s Club President at Synagogue Emanu-El. I’d also like to take this opportunity to introduce the new Vice President, Howard Snow.

I’m excited to be given this tremendous opportunity to serve you. I’ve been a member of Synagogue Emanu-El for more than 25 years. I have two adult children: Joshua, who is a Rabbi, and his wife Francie; and Rachel, along with three adorable grandchildren, Noah and Ella, who are twins, and Joseph.

For the month of July, we are kicking off a raffle for a top-of-the-line grill. A single ticket is $18 or 3 for $50. The raffle is in full swing now and ends on August 15th, and you don’t have to be present to win.

On Friday, July 6th, at 7PM, we’ll have our annual Independence Day BBQ; be sure to make your reservations to join us!

In the future, Men’s Club will be partnering with the local chapter of Meals on Wheels. Stay tuned for more information.

I look forward to being your Men’s Club president and starting my term with a bang!

-Harold Grater

One Meal a Day

That is what many of our Jewish Brothers are experiencing in the Abayudayan region of Uganda due to the current famine. Our Men’s Club is a partner with the Seaboard Region of Jewish Men’s Club in helping them. The Abayudayan women hand-knit Kippot that many Men's Clubs are selling for $18 each and 100% of the money goes to support our Jewish Brothers and Sisters in Uganda. The money helps with food, education, Hadassah School and maintaining their Jewish Life. Please support our Tikum Olam project to secure their future. Call Charles Richards at 843-452-4429 or the Synagogue office 843-571-3264 to place your order.
Thank you for your support.
