FYI - Email scam

We have received reports of a scam targeting congregants by someone purporting to be Rabbi Rosenbaum. They have been coming from an email account that may look like ours, but our emails always end in These are coming from a Gmail address. 

The emails start off innocently enough asking for help. Sometimes, they eventually mature into a request for hundreds of dollars in gift cards.

Commit to 75: Holocaust Remembrance Day

This week marks the 75th anniversary of the  Liberation of the Auschwitz Concentration Camp 

Synagogue Emanu-El is proud to join so many others across the Charleston community to continue Holocaust education and inspire people worldwide to stand up to hate, prevent future genocides, and to inspire the next generation to love one another. 

Save The Date:  April 19, 2020, Greater Charleston's Holocaust Remembrance Commemoration, aboard the USS Yorktown at Patriot's Point in Mount Pleasant.  

On that day, hundreds will gather to honor our local living Holocaust Survivors and concentration camp Liberators from all branches of the armed forces. This event is free to the public, and we hope you will join us.
